Writing & Editing
My writing goals:
1) Comfort the afflicted.
2) Afflict the comfortable.
Publication credits
Since 2010, I’ve accumulated dozens of publication and editorial credits in publications. These started with student-run journals but expanded to magazines, long-running websites and publications facing the general public.
Beginning in 2011 when my work was accepted out in the world for the second time (by writer Roxane Gay, who was then the editor of PANK), my poems were published in over a dozen journals and magazines. These included:
PANK
SOFTBLOW
Orange Quarterly
A Clean, Well-Lighted Place
Blast Furnace Press
OccuPoetry
Mobius: The Journal of Social Change
Prick of the Spindle
Weave
Burntdistrict
Brusque Magazine
I also published several essays in The RS500, a project compiling writing and reflections inspired by Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 500 Best Albums of All Time.
